Luxurious, Iconic, Classic, Elegant, Royal! These are all terms that come to mind when I think of the Antiguo Casino of Puerto Rico. It is a 105 year old building that takes you back in time to a more gallant era, and it makes for a wonderful wedding venue.
I was very excited to work with Melissa and Peter, not only because of their excellent choice in venue, but because I had done their Love Story session months before the wedding, and I felt a genuine friendship and connection to them.
It was an interesting wedding day from the start, Peter’s preparation had a relaxed vibe, with his groomsmen made up of close friends and family enjoying themselves before the big moment. It was easy to get some really nice classic shots of him, the groom’s men, and his dad.
By contrast, Melissa’s preparation was beautifully chaotic! Between make up, and a large crowd of bride’s maids, her room was loud, hectic, lively and joyful! Melissa’s wedding party also had the participation of 4 adorable fairytale princesses that made the ceremony even more magical than I had already anticipated.
The ceremony took place outdoors at the courtyard of the Antiguo Casino, and the weather was just perfect for the occasion. Our couple was surrounded by tight group of family and friends. We were able to capture awesome shots, and it was perfect evening for our fairytale couple.
The evening continued into the night at the reception which took place in a massive galant ballroom which allowed for celebration full of dance, drink and food. I am sure the guests, vendors, and most importantly our couple, will never forget this magical evening.
Congratulations to Melissa and Peter! May your life be a never ending fairytale, just like your amazing wedding was!
